Pelago Umani Ronchi 2012

A full-bodied and elegant wine, Pelago of Umani Ronchi, is the result of an excellent insight into the cellar, which has decided to combine the Montepulciano grapes with Cabernet Sauvignon, while maintaining a style and personality of the typical local grapes, but amplifying the flavor profile and complexity with Bordeaux grapes. The name of Pelago, sea from greek, just want to suggest the marine character of the wine and its typical organoleptic characteristics of wines produced near the coast: for millennia, in fact, the vine thrives in this environment, fostered by long hours of sunlight alternating with cool nights and sea breezes that mitigate the colder months. The climate, along with a perfect terroir for the maturation of the grapes, have helped the Umani Ronchi to excel in the production of Verdicchio and Rosso Conero, later also for Pelago, an innovative wine, able to immediately gain attention and recognition in the international wine scene. The Umani Ronchi is thus required as a great interpreter of the Conero wines, playing a pioneering role in terms of experimentation and advanced technologies.
