Boca Le Piane 2012

Boca is an unique wine, thanks to the climate characteristics of this land, that can produce wines distinctive, with strong character, of great elegance and finesse, with complex bouquet and taste. The name of the wine comes from the area in the north-east of Piedmont, near Novara, nestled between the Sesia Valley and Lake Orta. Following the industrialization of the last century, the growing zone of Boca was forgotten. It was thanks to Alexander Trolf, winemaker, and Christoph Kunzil, importer of wines, that this region has resumed its former glory; the founders of the winery Le Piane, have contributed to the revival of this land for the unique quality of its wines and the beauty of its landscape, nestled in the woods of Mount Fenera Natural Park. The combination of land and microclimate of the area is the luck of Boca DOC: gravel on the surface, is unique of its kind in Italy, while the mild climate of the Alps, with warm autumns and fog-free, perfect favors the maturation of the grapes. In particular, the success of Boca, drift from the mineral soil and from the elegant structure of Nebbiolo, which guarantee a full and expressive wine.
